The Finance, Data & Administration Unit is responsible for managing the financial austerity of the Corporation providing accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with the accounting standards generally accepted in Bermuda and Canada.

The Unit coordinates the external audit process and ensures internal and external compliance with BEDC’s Financial Instructions and the Corporation’s policies and procedures.
In addition, the Unit also manages the debt recovery process and provides support with financial and information technology services within the Corporation to enable the staff to discharge their duties and responsibilities in an efficient, economic, and effective manner.
Functions of the FDA Unit Include:
Management of Internal Assets & Equipment
Production of Monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements for the Corporation
Preparation of Monthly Payroll for BEDC
Management of the Corporation Accounts and Maintains a Fixed Asset Register
Management of External Relationship with Financial Institutions
Management of the BEDC Debt Recovery Process
Implementation and Management of a Business Register for Local SMEs
Supporting Officers with Financial Advice and Guidance Relating to the BEDC’s Portfolio of Clients
Development, Implementation and Maintenance of the BEDC IT Strategic Plan
Provision of Administrative Support to BEDC Staff
