YBI is the coordinating body of the global network of independent Youth Business Programmes (YBPs) around the world who are locally based, independent initiatives that adopt and adapt the YBI model to meet national needs and conditions, Their purpose is to enable  people usually between 18 and 35 years old, to work for themselves, with the help of local business people who share their expectations with the  entrepreneurs. YBIs effort is a global focus to reduce youth unemployment and youth poverty globally.

YBI brings together people in the corporate sector, civil society and government, who make their skills, expertise and facilities available on the  people’s behalf to provide access to finance, business mentoring and support to  entrepreneurs during the start-up and early development of their businesses.

The YBI program delivers a huge range of benefits, from building the employability of  people to generating a culture of entrepreneurship and dynamism in the local economy.
