Duty Deferment Approved Retailers - Effective 1 April 2009 - Starting on 1 April 2009, Customs will allow approved Bermuda Retailers to defer part of their customs import duty payments for up to three months. Instead of paying the full duty on any goods imported for retail sale, approved retailers may pay just 25% of the import duty due at the time of entry; provided that they pay outstanding duty for the goods within 90 days of entry.
